The top teams won their matches today (Luna Rossa had a bye), meaning that three of the teams now have definite places in the semi-finals:

  • BMW Oracle Racing
  • Emirates Team New Zealand
  • Luna Rossa Challenge

There are only two other teams in with a chance, Desafío Español 2007 and Victory Challenge, with the Spaniards being 5 points up making them the most likely to qualify.

Competition for the top spot will continue though since the winner of the Round Robin stages will have the right to choose their opponent for the Louis Vuitton Cup semi-finals.
