The important Flight 4 rematch between 4th and 6th placed teams Mascalzone Latino - Capitalia Team and Desafío Español 2007 is scheduled for later in the day.

Desafío Español 2007 are looking good to make the semi-finals

The Spaniards picked up 4 points today after defeating Team Shosholoza in a close match in Flight 7 then following that up by beating Mascalzone Latino - Capitalia Team in their rematch of the contested Flight 4 match.

Desafío Español 2007 are now quite comfortably in 4th place of the Louis Vuitton Cup rankings and with only 3 to 4 races left per team in Round Robin 2 they have a very good chance of making the semi-finals along with BMW Oracle Racing, Luna Rossa Challenge, and (short of a disaster) Emirates Team New Zealand. 5th and 6th placed teams, Victory Challenge and Mascalzone Latino - Capitalia Team could still theoretically qualify for the semi-finals but their chances are now very slim.
